Important Background
Osama Bin Laden was angered by the fact that American Troops were in Saudi Arabia, he saw this as a way of the United States humiliating the Isalmic people. Also, he was very angry that Americans were supporting Israel. Lastly, Bin Laden had a strong opposition on the U.S. policy concerning sanctions on iraq in the after math of the 1991 Gulf War.
What/How?
Four planes on 9/11 swere hijacked by Terrorist . The hijackers flew both planes, with passengers into the World Trade Center. One plane flew into the Pentagon in Washing D.C. The last plane flew into a field in a rural place in Pennsylvania.

Why?
Osama Bin Laden was angry at the United States because Osama believes that The American troops in Saudi Arabia are trying to humiliate the Isalmic people. Second, he was angry that the American's were supporting Israel. Lastly, Bin Laden has a strong opposition on the U.S. policy concerning santions on Iraq in the after math of the 1991 Gulf War.
Results/Effects?
After the 9/11 the united states became active in the Middles East. They became active in the middle east because they want to prevent hostile forces from gaining control of the Middle East's oil resources and the military presence puts the United States at the center balance of power in the Middle East. Also` the attacks cause a numerous amount of damage. It also killed a huge amount of innocent people.
